I'm new to this so here goes nothing. My female dragon that i had housed with my other female dragon.... turn out to be male. Yay for the breeder getting that one wrong. Now I just found eggs!!! ACK! This is the first I've seen of them and my female is old enough and large enough to survive this well. I read the breeding 101 is there anything else i need ot know? the closest i can figure is she laid the eggs day before yesterday as i wasnt home and my fiance wouldnt have checked back where she laid them when he fed the dragons. I have seperated the two from each other, and im in the midst of building a laybox... I dont know what to expect from her as i wasnt expecting eggs lol Grin

My girl has laid as low as 28 and as high as 33.  It might good to put her in a laybox but she might be done.  The number of eggs you found might be because she ate some of them, she might not be done, or that might be the amount she lays (I'm not sure about this last possibility).

Are you intending to get the eggs to hatch?  Babies are very expensive to feed.  Depending on the condition of eggs it might be too late but if they look good you can put them in an incubator.  If you're not, then it would be a good idea to freeze the eggs before you throw them away.  If you have any more questions just ask.   Smiley

im not hatching the first clutch. they were already destroyed by the time i found them, she hid them in the corner in the sand :| but I'm keeping my eyes open to see if she tries again. I think she probably ate a few as she isnt carrying anymore Smiley

Hey safereptilehouse I suggest you check out our care sheet at http://bearded-dragons.com/boards/index.php/topic,8.0.html As there are quite a few things that could be done to improve your beardies home.
