How do you know what sex a bearded dragon is? Do you have to take them to the vet?

if you lift up their tail and there is two bulge its a male and if there is nothing its a female

In addition to that... when you raise the tail, the dragon needs to be on a firm surface, facing away from you.  Raise the tail until you feel a bit of resistance.. then look... You can always post a photo of that position and we can offer our opinions...
