id get a second opinion just because some vets may say that they are qualified exotic vets but dont know the first thing about them or their care.
just my .02 cents
ive never seen or heard of a beardie laying one egg and the symptoms you said she was having deffinately sounded like signs of being eggbound. but tis just my opinion take it how you want it.
