all I know from experience is that they are pretty hard little buggers to neglect..... pretty sure mine have been neglected pretty bad. but, one is almost 18, the other almost 10 so really..... must be doing something right if they are still alive, right?

mine shy away from ANY light (aka: need dish rags over their cages), eat about 5 crickets a month each. (if that. maybe 10 if the younger sheds, but that's still rare.) and generally just wander/hang out in their cages day by day.

uhm..... both are currently on wood chips, but have also been on dirt (the one used to burrow occasionally but after not for a few years, decided to switch to something easier to clean)

both have side tank heat mats used over the winter...  and other than that, a hide spot per tank, and a water dish with cotton in it so they can't drown.

the older one spins a TON of web, the younger has never been a webber.

really seems hard to screw up  :S
