Brave woman, lol.  I had a couple Turks get away from me when I was cleaning vivs last night.  I hope my husband doesn't find them, or I'll be back to (yuck) crickets! Cheesy  My son's friend is gathering me up a bunch of Madagascar hisser nymphs today! The only thing I don't like about them is I read they are climbers Shocked  I ordered some Dubai roaches that will be here in a couple of days...are they slower than the Turks??  I can see why they call them racers!  A lot of them get away from Carina, so I ordered her some slower roaches  Smiley

Those hissers are like Dubias.. Slow.  A barrier of thinly applied vaseline should keep them in the bin.
Oh, and the adults.. do make noise Wink  Best let your son keep those in his room, and just use the nymphs..

That's the beauty of this arrangement....his friend breeds all sorts of reptiles and insects.  She has offered to give my dragons food at no charge, cause she said she is overrun with hissers.  I don't have to mess with the adults!  I'll just get the size I need to feed!  Now in the future I may keep some and raise them up to be breeders, if I can handle the noise, lol.

Hisser adults are actually kind of neat.. This from the woman that has no "fear" of handling strange insects... lol
The adults can get around 8" if I remember correctly.  But by all means, do keep "harvesting" her extras Wink

OMG!  8 inches??!?  No wonder they sell them for pets, lol.  I heard they are actually quite docile, but I don't know if I could handle a big hissing roach  Roll Eyes
