i have a dragon that i bought from a breeder in my area. when i got home i noticed all four of his feet only have four toes each. it looks like it was meant to be like that but obviously its not. it doesnt affect him in anyway and he still climbs like theres no tomorrow and loves to run around. i was just wondering if anyone has ever seen this before or knows why a birth defect would happen?

When I got my bearded dragons, they looked fine..but when we got home we saw that one of them was missing all its toes on one back foot, and the other is missing random toes here and there. I called and was told the breader put too many dragons together and they tend to nibble and eat off each other's toes when they are housed like that. Both dragons get around fine. Not sure if that's the cause, but it's possible.

Nipped toes are a common thing but to have one toe nipped off all four feet would be very doubtful. Sounds more like a birth defect to me. Sad to say but this kind of thing is not that uncommon due to the limited blood lines available in the U.S. Odds are it wont effect the dragon in any way and he can and will live a normal life.

Im gonna agree with Dad. 4 toes on each foot is tough for even the most persistant nibbler. I have some poopers missing some toes here and there, It does happen from time to time. But never 1 toe from each foot.

Ya it's definately not a nip from getting bitten off because they look too perfect, almost like he was supposed to be like that
