I went to a local pet store today to pick up some dog food. They had two sandfish that look like different locales than mine. One looked in really bad shape, but I've rehabed worse.

The sick sandfish died with in two hours. I called the pet store but they are closed already (Sunday). I'm not going to keep the body, so I hope they give me my money back.

Heres a pic of the sandfish. The sick one is on the left. You can see how sick he is in the pics. His markings are much different than mine. The one on the left is different too, but closer to mine. I feel if the sandfish would of made it past 48 hours it would of survived.

 Hey Tom,

 I have no idea Smiley

They are called Sandfish because it looks like they "swim" through sand. They are completely adapted to life on loose sand. Their hands are like shovels or spoons, and their heads are shaped so they pierce right in to the sand. When they see me, they literally disappear in to the sand in less than a second.

The largest one will come out around my wife. My wife can fold laundry, while watching T.V., right in front of it, and it won't hide. God for bid my son, dog, or myself, should put so much as an elbow in the room and....POOF!!.... gone! And I'm the one who feeds it!! It makes taking pictures impossible Smiley
