Some time ago I decided to build a 4 in 1 terrarium to make better use of the space in my Small apartment. This Saturday me and my friend Andres started building the terrarium. unfortunately for us it just may have been the coldest day of the winter with minus 20 degrees C, snow and strong wind. We started building anyway and here are some pictures. More pictures will come once the terrarium is finished.

A little explanation. the lower terrarium will accommodate my Bearded dragon and the three terrariums on the top will accommodate my ciliatus that I have now and my future ones Wink The lower terrarium is 24"/60cm deep 60"/150cm long and 24"/60cm high. The ones on top are 24"/60 high and deep and 20"/50 long.

Tell me what you think of the terrarium so far Smiley

Regards

Actually I've made ventilation's. but I don't have pictures of it Smiley I've got to holes that messures 12"/30cm by 4"/10cm and they are covered with punctured sheetmetal, so I have plenty of ventilation Smiley

I use milk crates... They stack up 2 high for me, 3 for James, easy to use as they lock into one another!

I must have like 100 of them, the local milk company changed their logo style a few years back, so I was given them for free.  Some of them are damaged, but the majority, fine as a fiddle !
Sorry that happened, Allen, perhaps if you asked the local for their damaged ?
The crates also make great forms for tall growing, spreading plants like tomatoes, who needs a cage ?

Thanks! I'm quite happy.

Actually, it's not pure soil, I've made a 50/50 mix of sand and soil. The substrate is packed hard. I've been going with this mix for about 6 months and haven't experienced any problems yet. But I will mix more sand in to the substrate to get a harder crust. And as for the food, it's plain salad and tomato's in the food dish. I hope that's not dangerous. Thanks for the chart anyway Smiley

Thanks for the heads up Smiley I know that soil is harder to keep clean and that the liquid droppings will go down into the soil. As I said before I have used this type of substrate for about 6months and before that I used sand which I have used since I got m beardie 7 years ago.
As for the food, I will now give him food with better nutrition value Smiley
