Is it normal for a 3 week old baby to bite? I have him in a 40g breeder tank, he has 4 hiding places 104 in the basking and 86 in the cold end. Eats like a champ and poops usually 2 times a day.

This is actually not my first beardie, but it is my first baby beardie. I have tried to slide my hand in front of him but he opens his mouth and almost kind of lunges at my fingers then runs away. He did this at the breeders house too but I assumed he was just the only one that was being active and figured it was a baby thing and he would grow out of it. I will definitely try the hand feeding part I haven't though of that, should I try putting on a glove and letting him just go to town on my fingers?

I wouldnt use gloves, If the pooper is already scared enough to attack gloves will just make your hand look bigger and more menaceing.

Thank you everyone for your help, I will have to just keep working with him and hopefully when we gets older won't want to still keep biting me. I'll post some pics of him soon!!
