HI ALL,
WHAT IS TOO HUMID? I HAVE A WATTERFALL ON ONE SIDE OF MY BEASTS CAGE AND HE LOVES IT.HE SITS ON IT AND BASKS AND POOS. WHEN I TURN IT OFF HE SCRACHES AND SCRACHES ON THE SLINING DOORS UNTILL I TURN IT ON. HE USES IT LIKE A BADAA (DID I SPELL THAT RIGHT?] ANY WAY IT MAKES HIM HAPPY AND I AM WONDERING IF IT WILL MAKE THE ENCLOSER TOO HUMID.

        THANKS PAUL

ideal humidity for them is 30-40% if im not mistaken mine stays at about 33% with a waterfall you are likely creating too much humidity and that can lead to a respiratory infection so i suggest taking it out and replacing it with a water bowl if you would like...water bowls are optional as long as you soak your dragon 3 times a week or more

I read a book by a Swedish herpetologist, and if I don't remember it wrong she recommends that a bearded dragon should have about 50& humidity, as that is about the same as the wild bearded dragons have in Australia. I may be wrong but I think 30% sounds really dry

I am going to measure the humidity in the enclosure because it's pretty large 3x4x4high .The water fall isn't always turned  on(3 hours a day) or so.I am always in there cleaning the piggies pen.
(and disinfecting)I do think sweetpea hydrates also when he sits on the water fall with his vent against the water happy as a clam.

Let me also second, that you can never totally eradicate the bacteria on a waterfall.  Better to just use it as a basking site, and bath your dragon 3-4 times a week, in a separate plastic container.
