ok so my beardie has had diahrrea for over a month now anfd they couldnt find nething wrong with him.  this morning he had poo by his vent opening and i went to clean it off and i pulled a worm out. it looks like a tape worm{dont know if beardies can get them or not} now my problem is i have no money at all and dont want these invarders to keep hurting my baby. i know its not the best thing but my mom has a dewormer called strongid i use it for my cats and dogs and my mom does foster work for feral cats is it safe to give him this and if so how much? he is a little under a pound in weight if that helps

Hi There,
Unless you get your beardie tested by a vet you cant be sure what He has.  I would not suggest useing a wormer product used for mammals on a beardie.
I have a dragon who is going on 5 years old, and I can count on my hand how many solid poops he has taken over the years. He is vet checked every year and He is in great health with no parasites. You should really get a vet check done and a fecal test.

ok. the vet said it was a piece if string that he must have got a hold of and it looked like a worm becasue of being in his stomach and the thickness of it. the want me to put him on watered down metronitazole{ i think thats how its spelled} to stop his diahrrea because he is losing weight from it. { i have given it to my cat to stop diahrrea} { he is also on benebac}{my beardie is}
