Oh and do you have a UV light? If so what kind?

I have a Repti Glo 30 W 90cm/36" 10.0 UVB tube

Where abouts do you live? If you are in the UK try get a hold of the reptisun 10.0 it is one of the top UV bulbs in the world at the moment and it gives the best UV exposure to beardies. The Repti Glo has had some pretty bad feedback on this site and apparently do not give the beardies enough UV light to metabolise properly. As for boosting temps of your enclosure try adjusting the basking lamp so it is slightly closer to the basking area it should boost the temps slightly Smiley

Hold on i was reading up and 12" is probably the closest you can take a basking lamp... How exactly are you measuring your temps?

It just seems a bit strange to me that your 100w is only putting out 90 F considering i have a 60w and it is putting out 110 F Undecided

Oh thats probably why Cheesy

The wall thermometers are always off by quite a bit because they do not measure the actual basking area they measure the overall temps of the area Smiley
Keep those on your wall as an indication but try get a hold of two thermometers that have probes and place the probes on the actual basking area and one on the floor of the cool area that will give you a better indication of the temps Smiley Another alternative is using an infared heat gun which is very accurate with measuring temps Smiley

Do you have any other questions you need answered? Smiley

I will do thanks Smiley
and yeah i just realised as well that there was still a bit of the sticky padding stuff on the back of the thermometer where it measures the heat lol.
and as for the problem about Cleo standing near the glass door and not moving i decided to take her/him out and she/he just laid belly flat on my palm and closed her/his eyes Cheesy it was really cute  Smiley, and when i put her/him back in i put her/him on the log i have in there Smiley, she/he hasnt moved back to the glass so i think she/he was just wanting some attention which is fine by me Smiley (p.s sorry for saying she/he all the time, i just dont want to say he or she lol! i know stupid)

also my mum/sister think that im worrying way too much cause i kept saying the heat isnt right and something is wrong with Cleo so they have calmed me down a bit  Cheesy

thanks for all the help  Grin

Hi addsiee Smiley Smiley Smiley
Me again more newcomer comments  subject to better advise from the more experienced here..
The Sand...I know you say they don’t eat it but when I let my dragon I noticed he licked everything... he seemed to do this to taste and test his surroundings...Mine were on sand and I was told they don’t eat...They don’t but i came down to the refrigerator 1 evening & there was Chubb Chewing away. I don’t leave food in with him and I fish out all foods. So sand was the only thing...But I was told they don’t. Next thing He ate some in front of me....I was stunned
Guess what I’m saying is I’m not with them all the time so based on good advise I got the sand out. It’s not worth a sick pet. Anyway Tile or paper are easier to clean
To separate them you could divide the Viv if it’s an ok size until you get a new Viv with something solid that won’t fall over but watch your temps. Or maybe you could borrow a fish tank. That’s what I did. Why did I?   Does this sound familiar, well Chubb is missing a piece of tail and a toe and it happened in the petstore when they were small ( I can send you photos if you like)... Fergie & Chubb shared the same Viv happily together with the previous owner and with me...But D advise must be  right...One look and I thought it didn’t happen recently but it did happen so it could happen again.. These guys are bigger now. Bigger means more damage or even death. I’m not taking a chance especially when more experienced beardie lover’s are telling me to separate. So I Did. If your still not sure google a few other lizards types like tegus and you’ll get the same advise. I know it can be conflicting but I’ll upload o show poor chubb
I’m new also and setting up a second viv and learning about reptiles.. It’s not cheap I know its tight on cash but you could consider making one and savin’ a few bucks.

Beardiefan17 is right don’t breed them their probably to young...there is a breeding 101 care sheet on this site also...
What size are they? Have you looked under the tail to check genders.....?
Crickets... Fergie & Chubb would kill me with a stare for offering them...They get a mix of worms for 15mins or till full.
Bathing is definitely a good idea... Chubb is not really fond of it but he is doing better for it and it helps establish a routine with him. She thinks I’m trying to drown her...lol
There’s me ranting and ravin as if I hadn’t talked to anyone in months so i’ll leave it at that.......Don’t forget to post some pics
Fellow new beardie lover and owner of 2......Al

Hey Perfectly_Flawed and thanks Smiley

Thanks for all the advice guys. I have taken out the sand as after i bathed them both i saw them start to lick the sand so i took it straight out and put down newspaper untill i can get some repti-carpet (is that any good btw?).
Im keeping them together untill i see signs of them fighting (but there from the same clutch dont no if that makes a difference) but atm they seem friendly with eachother, Caesar seems really protective over Cleo.
Cleo is ill atm Sad she/he wont eat and seems to be very still all the time and not very alert. so i am taking them both to my mate who is going to look after them (or just Cleo) try and get her/him eating and generally see what the problem is.
I dont think its the heat cause Caesar is all good and is eating fine Smiley

sorry it took so long to reply have been at work and busy
