I just noticed today while reading posts that there is a little icon in the post boxes that says "Logged" apparently meaning their IP addresses.  I also noticed that when I posted, my IP was advertised for me to see. I understand that only I can see the IP but I was just wondering if this is something new or something I just never noticed

It is nothing new and has been a part of every forum software I have eer seen for decades.
