I bought Henry a uvb light today. What does 7% mean? I was wondering if I could use the heat rock just for a basking rock(not plugged in) just till I get him moved into a bigger home. I want to use bigger rocks in the other cage that won't fit in this one. I still have his uva light on. Does the uvb give off heat too? It makes him a really pretty bright yellow with orange details on his face and sides. What am I supposed to be using at night? As far as heat? I also bought 15 dozen crickets and a cage for them to go into. He's been eating silkworms today so I just fed the crickets and added some cardboard for them to hide in.

If its a 7% rating then its not going to give off as much uvb as he needs... reptisun 10.0 is a better bulb and alot of the health of the dragon depends on lighting and heat. There shouldnt be a problem having the hot rock in there, I personaly would clip the wires... A tube uvb will not produce much heat at all so a flood bulb will be needed as well. At night the dragons need total darkness and no heat unless your home gets below 65*, and if you do keep the house lower then a heat mat mounted on the side of the enclosure would be best.

haha crystal beat me on the rest
