I have one room at the back of my house that a cell phone just doesn't work in. If you take 2 steps outside of this room you can get enough signal for a call, but it breaks up and drops the call every couple of minutes. If you take 4 more steps down the hall, you get a fairly strong signal. My family would like to go strictly to our cell phones and stop paying for landlines that we almost never use.
So my question is this:
Would this antenna work if we placed the antenna portion in the hallway where there's a good signal, and the receiver portion either inside the room or in the doorway to that room?
Another option would be to place the antenna portion outside of the house - the back door is about 3 feet outside that room - and the receiver in the doorway or inside that room.
If these options aren't likely to work, what would without spending much money?

I have never used something like that so cant really say how well it works but for $6.95 I sure think it would be worth a try.

Flawed just due to the way it says to install it I do not think it will work for your application. It looks like the emitter between the two parts is not very strong as it wants you to install one part on each side of the glass leaving only a small space. I know they make signal boosters or amplifiers for homes but they will cost more.
