I moved Not So Tiny to a bigger tank since he's not so tiny anymore lol.  He seemed to stop eating his protein but wasn't too worried because he had a change.  Two days passed and I decided to throw in a silkworm (I was trying to grow the few I had left into adults that would make eggs).  He chomped it up right away.  I considered he was holding out for the good stuff but the timing seemed to indicate relocation stress.  It wasn't his fear of crickets coming back since he didn't run from them.

I decapitated some crickets and threw them in still twitching.  He considered for a few moments and then chomped them up.  Now I think it is relocation stress and since he's still a bit uneasy about his new surroundings he doesn't want to chase the fast food but will go after the slow food.  Does that sound reasonable?

It makes me wish I was keeping Not So Tiny.  When I find him a new home I'll make sure they know the strategy that worked for me to help him.

Relocation stress usually is the case. Just as long as you keep providing proper basking temps and fresh greens daily, he'll come around to eating his protein in no time. Just remember to not try and handle him for several days (unless its for bathes).
