Do males need a specific amount of time between matings?

Xena is working on another clutch of infertile eggs so on Saturday I introduced a mating between her and Kinky in the hopes that she'll stop laying infertile eggs.  Kinky hooked his tail under twice but I had reason to believe that he missed so I let them out together again on Sunday to be sure.  Kinky would start but he stopped before he got the the tail hooking under part.

Just like human males, they ummm, recover quickly and can go again as soon as they show interest.
