okay so i bought my first bearded dragon today  Grin he has really vibrant coloring for only a baby,, i'm guessing that he is around 3 or 4 weeks. he is only about 4 inches long tail included. he is perfect except for a centimeter tip of his tail. (other bd's acts of violence) he is a crazy little guy, but he lacks appetite.. it may just be stress from the move..i have seen him wave about three times, he seems to like his set-up in his viv, he's learning it, but he is still looking more outward than inward..and he is definitely seeing himself in the glass lol....  he is still getting used to my hands, but for such a young one he is pretty tame.. I hope to have pix up of him soon... I'm so glad that i found him  Cheesy

funny you should mention that,,, he has only eaten about 5 crickets since about noon yesterday.   Undecided  . he is so small compared to other babies... i powdered the cix, he seemed to like the taste cause he liked it and then went right for it and then he went straight after another,, i'm disabling the cix from jumping, so they still move but not fast.

Just give him time.  I had one, Gemini, that didn't eat a whole lot for the first month, then once settled in, ate like gang busters and is today at 5 months measures out to 15 inches.  Got them both (Orion and Gemini) at 2 months and measured around 7.5-8 inches.

Welcome to the forum Phil.

Most reptiles, BDs included get relocation stress and will not eat much for the first week or so. To minimise the effect of this try not to handle your BD for the first week except for the necessary ones (feeding and bathing) I know it is really hard but for a baby that small you really want them eating ASAP.
