Hi All,
For those of you that don't know, I got a surprise last week. I thought for the past three years that Slither was a male, but when he laid an egg, that changed. I got advice on what to do for her (THANK YOU) and she laid a clutch of 23 infertile eggs (she has never been with another dragon). Slither is doing better, I've increased her protein and calcium for now.
I have a question: Is it normal for Slither to have "yolky" discharge?  Its like when she goes to the bathroom, there is undeveloped eggs or something, it looks like egg yolk. Its not every time, but it has happened three times. I put her in a lay box to see if she had more eggs, but she didn't.
I hope its normal, but if not, does anyone know what I should do?
Thanks,
Jenifer

She does have normal poops in between, and its only been 4 days, so I'll give it a couple more. I'm just relieved to hear that it has happened to another beardie.

I believe it was Scarloc that posted on this same topic about a week ago.

For re-assurance that you are seeing the same thing, check out his pics.  http://bearded-dragons.com/boards/index.php/topic,1011.msg8061.html#msg8061

If what you see is different, take a close up pic and post it and I'll take a look.  But my suggestion is that it's most likely fine as long as she shows no sign of lethargy, lack of appetite, or straining.

The yolky stuff does look like the same as that post. Slither definitely has not lost her appetite. She has eaten a month worth of worms. In the past four days, she's eaten about 100 small-medium silkworms, 50+ Phoenix worms, 25 small hornworms. I ran out of everything, so today she ate about 50+ wax worms from petco. She's also eating 2 dishes of greens a day. She is eating as if she was 10 months old. My Mulberry Farms order will be here today. She is basking, doing a little more gaping than usual. She is pooping 2-3 times a day and usually one of those has the yellow yolky stuff. Once she had a yellow hard looking egg in with the poop. I felt around her belly - which is now flabby (poor thing) and I couldn't feel anything.....but then again I never knew she had 23 eggs in there before. I am still weird with her being a female, I'm just not used to it. Slither must be made a little different, when I lift her tail, I swear I still see a bump on each side and not one in the middle. Oh well.
