future shop has had my computer now since dec 7, after there was a power outage while i was updating vista with the service pack 1 and fried it( fired the mother board, core 2 quad processor, and hard drive) so they are giving me store credit i'm planning on getting a macbook white, they've got 1gb ddr2 ram, core 2 duo processor, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics processor with 256MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared with main memory and a 120gb hard drive for $1099.99(CAD) is this a good deal?

Flawed normally the specs on a Mac are considerably less then that of a regular PC, Macs have always been known to do a lot more with less. The real question aunt jemima92  is what are you going to be using this notebook for?

256mb ram is next to nothing now. I run 2 gigs. I think most computers come with at least a gig now. Look around for an Acer or a similar brand. My acer has 2 gigs ram, 320 gig hard drive, and a duo core processor and I paid less than $600 for it.

I think you misread his post. The comp has 1 gig of ram and 256 megs of video ram.

there not giving me store cred now there giving me hp desktop similar to my acer. 640 gb hard drive, nividia geforce 8400 or  8500 gt I can't rembrre core 2 quad and 6 gb of ram
