I have 2 beardies both kept in separate viv's (on the advice from here) i was told the older 1 was a male (now 32 weeks old) and the younger 1 was a female (now 24 weeks old).
i was holding my male (stewie) and realised he had seen her (loretta) in her viv, he then started doing the arm waving thing and she had the blackest beard i had ever seen and she was doing the crazy head bobbing thing, she was running around her viv like a mad thing. My question is have they been sexed the wrong way round!!

Many Thanks for any advice.

Sounds like they were sexed oppositely.  As babies, you can't really tell their sex.  Many people are just giving an educated guess when they try to tell you if they are male or female.

The arm waiving is a submissive behavior, while the black beard/head bobbing is dominant. But, I have seen both behaviors shown from both sexes.

Can you put up a pictures of them  ??  Set them on a table facing one of them away from you.  Lift the tail straight up in the air while keeping the body flat to the table. Snap a picture of the base of the tail, just behind the vent. ( the tail side of the vent)

Send those pics, and I'll tell you for sure what they are.

The first one definitely looks male. The second... looks like a female, but it is a little bit out of focus.
