Toad

Ok, this isn't a pet or a reptile, but on our family backpacking trip in the rainforest in Olympic National Park, we adopted this guy for a short time. We camped on a sandy river bar and on the path between the campfire and the tent, I noticed two eyes sticking out of the sand. He would have been stepped on if I left him alone, so we moved him to another spot. He hung out there for the day. He was about four inches from nose to butt.

Hes so cute. I love toads! I used to catch them in the back yard as a kid. Ive not seen a toad that big in years how lucky! Cheesy

Its a Western Toad or "Bufo boreas". I google imaged it and this one is the greenest one out of a couple hundred photos. Most are brown, but the common theme is a cream colored stripe down its back.
