Hi All. I've had Slither almost three years (in June). I always thought Slither was a boy. I was thankful because I thought boys are easier than girls. Today, within the last hour, Slither must have laid an egg while we were having dinner. I am baffled. Slither has never been with another dragon so I know its unfertilized. What do I do now? What do I do with the egg? What do I need to do for Slither? Any and all advice is welcome. Thank you.

Okay, I got organic soil and a rubbermaid tote. I moistened the soil and started a hole. Slither is digging. I put a light clamp on one side, I just put a reg household bulb. Am I looking for light, heat, what? Do I turn off the light at night? How long do I leave Slither in there. I'm sorry, this is new to me, I thought Slither was a boy for 3 years, I'm a little freaked out and worried. If you could spell out what I need to do, I'd totally appreciate it. Thanks

Okay, so Slither dug for a little while and didn't lay any more eggs. Now he is trying to climb out of the lay box, should I give her a bath and put her back in her viv? I'm afraid she is going to climb out over night.

Okay, so Slither laid 23 eggs. After she buried them, I gave her a rinse, fed her hornworms and phoenix worms. Then I gave her a soak and now she is basking. I was soooo scared. After she laid the eggs, she looked so weak and I thought she might not make it. Thank you for the advice!

It depends on the dragon, but you could expect any from 1-3 batches a year.
Janie.
