color variations

So I haven't seen any posts on this topic yet and and don't laugh at this seemingly stupid question lol, but...

Is there any meaning as to the colors of the beardies, I have one that seems to almost change color, she'll be dark one day then an orange..ish color the next, does it have to do with calcium or lighting or anything like that? or is it just i the genes?

i think it also has to do with the genes. i have two beardies and one of them is naturally darker than the other. he can change color from a grayish brown to almost pure black, while the other is more of a yellow to orange color.
