Sorry I haven't been here much lately.  Those puppies have taken over my life!  They turned five weeks old yesterday, and it's good that they are SOOOOOOOO adorable because they are SOOOO MUCH WORK, at least their cuteness makes up for it!!!

Lucy (the mom) hasn't wanted to do any caretaking for the pups at all, so I've spent the last five weeks making her nurse, and having to sit with them to keep her nursing.  The first couple of weeks, that meant every two hours day and night!  Now they are eating and drinking, but still want to nurse a few times a day - about every six hours.  I'm still sleeping on the floor near them to make sure nothing happens overnight, as Lucy doesn't want to sleep with them, either!

The pups are so big now!  Bubba, the biggest, is about 10 pounds now!!!!

I took them outside to play a couple of days ago since we've had some nice weather, and I took tons of pictures!  You can see them here:

And here's some pics to show how much they've grown!
Pups on their birthday:

Pups yesterday, on their five week old birthday!  There are only FOUR of the eight in this picture as they don't all fit nursing at once now!!!

I am looking forward to finding them new homes in a couple more weeks!!!!!  It will be weird to have some time on my hands!  We are keeping just one of them, but that will be nothing (work-wise) compared to all eight!!!!

I need to get  you new pics of Woodrow, if you're still interested!  If not, then he's my keeper male! LOL!  He has gotten HUGE compared to the 6 other babies that I've had here!  I've got him in a four feet long enclosure right now!  He's still a little firecracker, too!  One of my daughters was feeding him yesterday and he just leaped out of the cage at her!  LOL!  (Luckily it was only a 15" drop to the floor!)

Yep, just let me know!  23rd might be better just so he doesn't get "lost" and end up sitting there on a Sunday or something!

Awe what cute puppies, and they do grow FAST! Thats alot of work nurturing 8 puppies like that. It warms my heart to hear about people going out of their way to nurse animals like that. Nice job.
