Before shedding, they will turn a very pale color in the areas that are getting ready to shed out. Lot's of baths are good at this time especially. They will make them more comfortable and help the shedding along.

Yes i think that's what Mr Magoo could be doing the light area is spreading up his back, he had a bath a couple of days ago and is having another today, he's very wary clings to you probably not had one before.
Another friend of a friend had a look at a pic of him, said half his tail seems darker than the rest of him, possibly a previous bad shed and to keep an eye on it, is there anything else i should be doing to help with that.?
He's a happy little chap now enjoys contact loves being hand fed.
