OMG  Shocked! My little baby magpie 'Maggie' has broken her back toe and it's twisted over her leg and torn it Sad
Prayers tonight, gonna see if i can catch her and we'll fix it!
She's been grumpy ever since!

Do you have the same magpies in Australia as we do here? Magpies in britain are fairly large, black and white with a bluey greeny tint in some of their feathers. I've never known anyone to keep one as a pet though, their just very common in the wild and seem to like places inhabited by humans, I keep catching one in my backyard, which scared me once because i'd let my rabbit out and they have fairly fearce looking beaks!

Hope your Maggie gets better  Kiss

My brother's kept one as a pet for some time before it passed on. Made a good pet though. They're pretty smart and never pecked any of us.

I love the look of them, traditional domestic birds like parrots don't inerest me so I'd love to own a magpie as a pet. Just have never known anyone to have one or sell them anywhere, and I absolutely would not take one from the wild.

Thanks,
My Ma and Da caught her then took her toe out of her leg and bandaged it.
